ADVANCED PROGRAM (Practitioners with 10-18 Months of Experience) Overview: Advanced practitioners practice at least twice-a-week for a further eight months. Advanced practices include working on the Mook Yan Jong (Wooden Man) and Biu Jee (the last Wing Chun Kuen open hand set). The following is a list of teaching/learning content for this level. a. Mook Yan Jong [sections 1-5] - wooden man practice forces the practitioner to refine technical angles and ranges while performing dynamic combinations b. Biu Jee - Last Wing Chun set which contains extreme techniques of the system c. Triangular positioning (Sam Kwok Bow)with circular stepping (Heun Bow) and forward jam stepping (Bik Bow) d. Chi Sau - Continue to refine a series of close range touch reflex skills that is performed with a partner e. Extremely close and distal reducing and recovery techniques f. Intercepting drills against multiple opponents (Practitioners with 19-27 Months of Experience) a. Mook Yan Jong [sections 6-10] b. Continue sticky hand (Chi Sau) and long range intercepting (Jit Kuen) drills c. Student teaching or internship under a chief instructor as an assistant - group management, teaching methods, and progressive testing, |
